History of B.R.Saunders

Vechicles

1952 – B.R. Saunders Transport founded by Bernard Roy Saunders.

Carried general goods within 20 mile radius of Walton.

Carried Concrete products within 45 mile radius for Qualcrete.

1958 – "A" licence acquired enabling fleet to expand with deliveries and collection now available all over the country.

1960 – Purchase of the first articulated vehicle of the fleet.

1966 – Bernard’s eldest son Paul joins the company.

1968 – Introduction of "O" licensing.

1974 – Dometo Garage opens.

Vechicles

1982 – Paul takes control of the traffic desk.

1990 – Bernard retires and hands over to Paul.

1992 – Purchase of first Self Loading vehicles of the fleet.

1993 – Paul’s eldest son Duncan joins the company.

1995 – Duncan becomes Operations Manager of the traffic desk.

1997 – As the company & fleet expands, Saunders start to specialize in Self Loading Crane Vehicles.

2001 – South East Cranes sales and service opens.

2002 – B.R. Saunders celebrates 50 years in the haulage industry.

2004 – Saunders latest acquisition is a Volvo FM12 Globetrotter 8 x 4 fitted with a PM 63026 Crane, giving a total reach of 20 metres lifting 1.8 tonnes. Crane also fitted with Fly Jib and Winch.
